Establishing the Cerner Healthe Clinic as your medical home gives you access to a high-performing care team that will work to help ensure you meet your personal health goals. Below are brief explanations of the core care team roles and responsibilities.

Family physician
The family physician directs the care team and works with you and the team to design your plan for healthy living, providing the "what and why" in your health care.

Wellness coach
Your guide & confidant in developing a healthy lifestyle, the wellness coach assesses barriers and encourages changes around your health and care plan.

If you have questions regarding the release of medical records, send a secure message using your Cerner Health Portal account to the records request inbox. Submit completed and signed records request forms through the portal to the records request inbox. Allow 7 to 10 business days for record requests to be processed.

Why can't I schedule provider visits online?
In order to serve our members in the most efficient way possible it is necessary for our care coordinators to have primary control of our providers' (PCP) schedules. This ensures that your assigned appointment is most appropriate for your visit reason. This method also creates more visibility to your health care needs and ensures nothing important falls through the cracks.

Healthe Clinic Missed Appointment Policy

Missed Appointment Policy

It's Healthe Clinic policy to monitor and manage missed appointments. Any member who fails to arrive for a scheduled appointment without canceling the appointment in advance is considered a no-show. Members who arrive more than 10 minutes after their original appointment time will be considered to have missed the appointment. Providers may work late members in as time permits, but the missed appointment will still apply. After three missed appointments a member will be charged $10 for any appointment for which they “no-show” within a 24 month period. Due to the high-demand of physicals and behavioral health therapy appointments, the policy fluctuates slightly. Additional information is provided below.

A member who consistently fails to arrive for scheduled appointments is considered a chronic no-show. A member who misses more than five appointments may be dismissed from the Healthe Clinic. Minor members who are signed in by a guardian but are not present for their appointment are subject to the missed appointment policy. Members who present unprepared for their appointment (i.e. not fasting when necessary) are also subject to the missed appointment policy.

Physicals
Because of the high demand for Healthe Clinic physicals, members will be charged $50 for each physical appointment missed or not canceled at least 24 hours in advance.

Behavioral health
Due to high demand for therapy appointments; the importance of arriving for scheduled visits; and the challenge of filling these appointments on short notice, the cancellation and missed appointment policy for these visits differs from other Healthe Clinic appointments as described below:

  • Any member who fails to arrive for an appointment without canceling the appointment less than two hours in advance is considered to have missed the appointment.
  • Members will be charged the full session fee of $85 on the second missed appointment. This charge must be paid in full before the member can schedule another visit at the Healthe Clinic.
  • Members who miss or fail to cancel within the required time frame, three or more times will no longer be eligible to use this service and will be referred for treatment through Cerner's EAP program or to another outside provider.

Billing

Eligibility and service pricing

Select services are available at no cost to eligible associates and dependents enrolled in a Cerner-sponsored health plan for: professional services, in-house labs and video visits.

Chiropractic care, out-of-house labs, some immunizations, durable medical equipment (i.e., crutches, splints), pharmacy services and over-the-counter medications are the member’s responsibility.

If you are enrolled in a non-Cerner-sponsored health plan (other employer health plan) or private health plan, you are not eligible for the Healthe Clinic Plan but may access the clinic services. The associate and dependent will be responsible for paying for the services rendered at time of service. They are responsible for seeking reimbursement from their respective health plan as applicable.

Associates and dependents enrolled in Medicare Part B are not eligible for the Healthe Clinic.

Labs processed by an external lab provider (such as Quest Diagnostics), prescription drugs, some immunizations and durable medical equipment (crutches, splint, etc.) are subject to your deductible.

Global associates and global Cerner travel

As part of the benefit structure, Cerner associates that live outside the US and are enrolled in a Cerner sponsored health insurance plan can be seen in the Healthe Clinic while in Kansas City. As we are not set up to accommodate billing for these services on a global scale these charges are covered by Cerner in full.

When receiving prescription medications and/or vaccinations for global Cerner business travel, the associate will pay at time of visit and then must submit for reimbursement through PeopleSoft Time & Expense.

Labs for HR compliance operations

For associates who must meet requirements for HR compliance operations, the Healthe Clinic will bill the Cerner health plan or Cerner Corporation directly, as appropriate. No associate payment is required at the time of service.

Payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, Discover or personal check and can be completed via phone, online, in-person or by mail
